Departmental Profile:
Varanasi is the capital of
all forms of Knowledge. Numerous students from each corner of India and the
world come to Varanasi to quench their thirst for knowledge. The city of
Varanasi houses many well-known, established institutes and colleges. Udai Pratap
College is one of the finest and most popular educational centers. It is also
one of the oldest educational institutions of eastern Uttar Pradesh.
The
Mathematics Department of Udai Pratap College was established in 1949 with
imparting education at UG level. Later on, the PG course was started in 1970.
The faculty members of the department are actively engaged in research work,
exploring the new directions in pure and applied mathematics. The department
has a rich list of its alumni working at various insitutes of India and abroad
in different capacities.
