Departmental Profile:
The chemistry department of Udai Pratap College was
established in 1949 under the leadership of Sri D. S. Raikwar. It began with
teaching at the undergraduate level with post-graduate courses being offered
since the 1970. Sixteen posts of assistant professor have been sanctioned for
the Department by the Higher Education, U.P. Government. Faculty members of the
department are engaged in various research projects. The department has an
illustrious list of alumni in teaching and research positions at Central and
State Universities, Research laboratories, and leadership roles in Industries.
Our Undergraduate and post graduate students have been
selected in various competitive examinations like: JAME, Integrated Ph.D.,
C.S.I.R. and U.G.C.NET and JRF. The department was selected by DST for FIST and
by DBT for Star Status
